Post Stern lights
Anyone know of anywhere that sells boat stern lights that flex or bend? Like if it where to hang up on something it would flex/bend instead of break but can be returned to an upright position. I tried makeing one out of a section of water hose last year but it didn't stay together to well nor did it have enough backbone to stand up.

yessir! x3. mine malfunctioned and they sent me a new one and I just had to send old one back, the new design is better too, it has a the hollow graphite rod and the wires run through center of it instead of on the outside.

Just get the $20 stick light from Walmart and replace it every season. That's efficient right?

The max it out doesn't throw the glare that the regular stern lights do. It's higher up as well so it's not right at your eye level. Loving mine!

I just move it directly behind me and it's like it not even there. The ram mount is nice.

The boat dr. usually stocks them. They are very tough, have them on a few boats. With the ram mount when the light is bothering you I take it and lay it down pointing almost straight back and you can't even see it. the only stern light that has lasted me more than about a month without breaking or connection getting loose

Never got around to ordering one of these....teal season is in two days so I rigged something up out of stuff I had laying around, I think will work good. its up high but its under my grab handle so its protected from limbs and stuff. We'll just have to see this weekend if its acceptable by the gw. I don't see why it wouldn't though, its visible 360*.

I have that max it out one. I step on them in the bottom of the boat because I take it out so I don't snap them off while running. After breaking a couple I figured for the price of 3 stick lights I can have one that won't break and that i won't forget to put in.

Yeah I'm gonna get one, just been super busy and forgot to. Today was my first day off work in like 3 weeks so I was scrambleing to get all my stuff rounded up that i needed for Saturday. A light was one of those things. I think the one I made will do the job and hold up for awhile.

Take the cheap ones from wall mart, cut the rod and sleeve it with a rubber hose so it can flex/ bend.

No, AKA would've said it makes his boat 3 mph faster. Maybe because of less wind resistance or some shit!
