Today a great man got called up too soon. A good friend and our best employee was struck head on by an SUV who crossed the centerline my friend was on his motorcycle. He was pronounced dead on scene. His wife suffered a broken arm and leg and will be undergoing surgery tomorrow but will survive. There was also another motorcycle stuck as well but haven't heard of injuries with them. He was a man who gave so much for those around him sponsoring breast cancer runs as well as other charities. He died doing what he loved it just hard to understand why and not to see him again Monday morning. He was the life of our shop. He was a man to look up to and admire. Words can't express how much he meant to those of us who had the chance to be in his life. Also I would like to set up a gofundme page or similar benefit to help pay for medical and funeral expenses. If anyone has any insight it would be greatly appreciated. |

A little update. My friend's wife is still in ICU she had surgery yesterday 2 more today and will go back in tomorrow. She is still in rough shape and will have a long road ahead of her. Charges have been filed against the POS that caused this. 19 years old with no drivers license He admitted to drinking and smoking pot the night before and left early to come home he says he fell asleep at the wheel. Heartache turns to such anger having to see this on the news. Just a guess but prob doesn't have any insurance either. If Obama had a son. |
