 Re: Nutria Recipes
Same way you cook a coot. Or an armadillo. Or a buzzard.
Cut a brick sized hole, insert brick. Add soy sauce and a good handful of fresh horse manure. Don't use cow manure. It matters. Bake at 500 degrees for 9 hours, or throw on the grill with high heat for 6. Throw away the nutria, eat the brick.

 Re: Nutria Recipes
Spaghetti, Stew, pot roast. Just cook it like any wild game...till it gets tender. Longer is better.

 Re: Nutria Recipes
Slow cook it in a sauce piquant. It's a little greasy but not bad at all. Bout like a coon. (The 4 legged ones)

 Re: Nutria Recipes
It is a pretty white meat. Skin and cook like any wild game. I like to debone it and cook it in a spaghetti. The sauce Piquant sounds delicious.

 Re: Nutria Recipes
I imagine it'd be pretty tough. I don't see why it would taste bad though, I mean hell it just eats plants for the most part. I might have to try one sometime

 Re: Nutria Recipes
Nah, squirrels are fine. I've eaten nutria before, didn't like it before I even knew what it was. Same thing with a coot. Just don't care to eat either one by choice anymore, and those two friends aren't allowed to cook anymore. Lol

 Re: Nutria Recipes
Man I've eaten dog (and it was pretty good) but I ain't eating anything I've let rot and used for gator bait! Kind of like I can drink Jim beam all day but can't take scotch after getting sick on it. Marsh rabbits, opossum, coon and nutria are off the menu!

 Re: Nutria Recipes
Never had the chance to try nutria. I'll tear up some coon though. Anything that takes a case of beer to get tender is alright in my book.
