Post Anyone hunt Dam-B?
Dad introduced me to duck hunting back in the day on Dam-B. We used to camp out for the weekend and shot ducks and do some fishing during the day. Had a great time.

My boy is getting to the age now where I thought about taking him to do more of this instead of always hunting local. Just curious if anyone duck hunts out that way and how it's been the past few years? It was a long time ago since I've hunted on that lake.

I'm there on a regular basis. The consistency of birds these days aren't like they were 10-15yrs ago. It's basically a short-stop between the bigger lakes and the coast. It's good when you hit it right but it's real unpredictable. Not to mention in the last 5yrs, everyone has gotten a mud boat and can actually get around. Not vegetation locked backwater like it used to be.

If you make it up this way with your boys give me a shout, I might have a little Intel for you guys.

I go down there from time to time. Its just like hunting on Toledo. If you see them there you better hunt them the next day or they might be gone. I hear theres normally a lot of traffic down there as well but I haven't seen much. Not compared to Toledo where everyone is a duck hunter these days. Ive got a 10yo that's been going with me since he was 6. Its a good time watching them grow up in the field. Good luck to you and your boys.
