As most of you know, I typically post observant and informed information for the betterment and edification of members on this forum. To keep in line with that theme, I came across some very interesting reading tonight while others were nursing their vaginas after a terrible first split of the season.

I'm citing the author's work with this link to the full article: http://www.highconflictinstitute.com/wh ... ict-people

Some interesting excerpts from the article which I thought I would once again share for everybody's edification.

"High-conflict people (HCPs) have a pattern of high-conflict behavior that increases conflict rather than reducing or resolving it. This pattern usually happens over and over again in many different situations with many different people. The issue that seems in conflict at the time is not what is increasing the conflict. The “issue” is not the issue. With HCPs the high-conflict pattern of behavior is the issue, including a lot of:

All-or-nothing thinking
Unmanaged emotions
Extreme behaviors
Blaming others"

Another great and informative paragraph in the link discusses the HCP's personality:

"The Underlying Personality Pattern

High Conflict People have high-conflict personalities. Conflict is part of who they are. It’s a life-long personality pattern of thinking, feeling, and acting. Time after time, they avoid taking responsibility for their problems. Time after time, they argue against feedback, regardless of how helpful and truthful it may be. And time after time, they try to persuade others to agree with their rigid points of view and to help them attack their Targets of Blame. The issues come and go, but their personality traits keep them in conflict. Their problems remain unresolved and the stress on those around them often increases."

The entire article is rather long....but, it's a very interesting read and I highly recommend this article to all MMT members....even though it was written by a lawyer.

Have a great evening and may the odds be forever in your favor for the second split!

I know some lawyers who are really good because they are like that.

There are really only two types of persons: those who get things done and those who observe them.

Those who can't, TALK.
Those who can, DO.

Just an observation...you have over 10,000 posts, dguidry.

Dean, you should read up on the first Jew to sit on the Supreme Court. I'll tell you that you might learn a lot from this guy. He graduated from Harvard Law at 20.
He was a critical thinker and possibly the world's first conservative libertarian long before that sort of thing was ever conceived.
You might like this guy.

So, you're saying dguidry has a personality disorder? I really didn't know anything about this....as observant as I am, I had no idea.

Always go to the last stall for the cleanest seat. Human nature leads us to the path of least resistance so, the pissy seats will be the closest to the door. This is the best way to increase your chances of a clean seat, but there's no guarantee because other factors come into play. However, I'll never be caught taking a shit in a public restroom.

Hotes have the cleanest restrooms. The good thing is you can walk in and walk out and no one knows you're not staying there.

There's a bridal suite in the club house at the golf course where I work. It's spotless and rarely gets shat in unless I'm the one doing the shitting. Albeit I have to sneak in there to use it. I will clean it when I'm done to maintain the sanctity of this hallowed ground. I can't use the bathroom at my shop bc Mexicans wipe their ass and throw their shit tickets in the trash can. Can't handle it.

I read something that said he middle stalls are the best. Most people are afraid to be close to the door for fear of someone outside hearing them taking a shit so they go the farthest they can away from the door. And then you have the other people that think they're really smart and will do the opposite and just go to the first stall thinking they've out smarted everyone. Middle stall is the cleanest 90% of the time. Most people treat it like the middle urinal and just feel more comfortable on the ends so they don't have to sit by someone.

Last time I was south of the border we were walking around so the wife could shop and I was looking for a place to take a shit, saw a burger king and figured it was my best bet, turns out when I walked into the stall there was just a hole in the floor... Good grief, place smelled worse than an outhouse after a summer concert weekend....
