Had to help rescue these two coming back from hunting today, He hit an interstate concrete piling. She broke both legs and he hit his face, may have broke his arm and prolly some internal injuries as well. I only heard paramedics talking about possible injuries so can't confirm. Had to shadow them in to public landing at request of LaWF and Sheriffs office . Air Med was on scene at the landing when we arrived. SO told me they were taking on water and I had just put my boat up on trailer after duck hunting this morning. SO approached me at landing to go back out to rescue them in the event their boat sank. 250 hp on that boat is ridiculous. Hope they're ok. SO told me last week two duck hunters headed in opposite directions collided head on in heavy fog while they were both running at high speed, prolly just relying on GPS. Don't know the injuries. All survived. SO told me they lost over 30k in guns alone to the bottom. Slow your asses down please. Wear you kill switch lanyard anf pfd. And, use good judgement In bad weather. image.jpg |

The front of the boat obviously smacked something. Just read where a class action lawsuit is being filed against the government and all subcontractors associated with building the I-10 over the Henderson Swamp and Atchafalaya River wetlands. Another personal injury lawsuit was filed against Skeeter boats and Yamaha outboards. Most liberals seem to suffer from the same mental condition....it's called stupidity! |

Hard to believe 2 boats collided and lost 30k in guns. If they are hunting guns that expensive then wouldn't they have them in a gun case? 30k is alot of money in guns between 2 boats. |

He definitely hit it at a decent speed. Take a look at his depth finder flipped over on his console. Looks like the impact broke the mount. The gas tank is plastic and under the seat so I doubt there was a way to be punctured. If he thought he was going to sink he needs to consider another brand next time. |

Dammit....u lucky sob....u didnt even have to chase that ambulance. I bet the SO was surprised at how willing u was to help! Bet they didnt even realize they was letting the stinking coyote right in the chicken coop. What yall gonna do now? Sue the state for no reflective tape or signs on the bridge piles? |

Yes they probably were full time dick heads. Yes it probably is a bit of an over estimation of the value of losts gun. ( I sure as hell know I pay enough in insurance too) But credit where credit is due ... Good on you Dean. You definitely did the right thing by them. I'm sure there is folk out there who wouldn't have helped. |
