Well decided to wash my boat off today at the local car wash. While doing so I happen to track grease on my deck floor. Some ass whole left it all over the round. My mistake for not noticing. Any way I have had some helpful advice from a few people what to use to remove the grease. I am just wondering what everyone else uses to clean grease and other stains off there turf ???? Thanks for the helpful advice.

Dawn works very well too.

^ tried dawn. No go. This is thick blackbgrease.

Brake cleaner
And if that don't work buy new turf.

I dunno...I know I've gotten grease and all kinds of other crud on my turf. Seems like the car wash always worked.

But, here are some things to spot try:

Garage Floor Cleaner
Simple Green
Blue Gold
Goo-Gone

And a good pressure washer! LOL

Joes or Gojo hand cleaner in the tub will cut it usually. I wash oily rags in it with the shop washing machine and it does pretty good. Take a palm full, put it on the spot, work it in, let it set a few minutes and pressure wash out.

I wasn't joking about brake cleaner. I would bathe in that shit. It'll take grease off anything

I used grease lighting. Got it in concentrate at SAMs club. Mixed it half/half with water in spray bottle. Spray it on stain and brush it in, let it set for a few than spray off. It took about 6 tries but it got it all off.

Hern if you haven't gotten it off yet try Goop that shit is amazing when I was a heavy equipment mech with Cat I used it when I wash my uniforms it's amazing and cheap sales at the wal mart will remove anything I used it on my truck seats too removes everything just rub it in really good let it sit and rinse with pressure

I had good luck with Simple Green on mine. Also, bleach will clean the shit out of turf but it's just like using it on clothes. If you don't dilute it and pour it on straight without spraying water pretty quickly, it will spot it. (no I didn't try color safe bleach)
I would advise against brake cleaner, not because of the turf, but because it would probably degrade the adhesive and it'll start peeling up. I know for a fact if you spill gas and leave it, it will start peeling up, wont hurt the turf though. If you spill gas, it's best to dilute it right then with water the best you can.

The turf itself is a closed cell foam and actually pretty damn tough and hard to stain. I tried green dye on a tan piece one time and couldn't get it to take.

Found a pretty damn strong solvent like goo gone. Except a tad stronger, did the job the best and didn't discolor the turf or soften the glue. Tried greased lightning, dawn ( with warm water ) , go joe, goo gone and a few others.

What was it called? I got grease all over my huntdeck turf

Most powerful solvent allowed by law lol. even says so . Can buy it at any hardware store or big box store.
