Talk about a crying shame!!! He was just standing up for the right of all the law abiting citizens and now it seems like the thugs and their family got what they wanted in him leaving his post. He should run for Sheriff of that parish next time the elections roll around. I'd be he already has plenty of votes. |

His boss told him he could not do any more crime stopper videos and if he did ant interviews, he would have to know about it and he would TELL him what to say at the interviews. |

It is a cruel world we live in. I will get the real story on this as my Uncle is the Sherriff Guidroz's lead detective. Yesterday was insane with the amount of phone calls at the Dept. In all honesty The sherriff seen all of these scripts before they were even aired, and we will never know what was said between the two behind closed doors. I really like Capt. Higgins and his segment because he was fighting political correctness and actually the videos were working to the Sherriff Dept's advantage. Now since the "Flack" was received, Sherriff Guidroz asked him to tone it down with the "name calling", not to bow down to criminals, Guidroz approved of the shows intents. No telling what was truly said behind closed doors, but both men like each other, but have a disagreement about how "professional" one should be. Most of the people bitching or bringing Heat are not the sheriffs constituents. It's a shame because Higgins was an Internet sensation. He will quickly land a new job. |

I watched Capt. Higgins press conference in the video link posted by Tony B. He was very professional and is an inspiration to all in law enforcement. Also noticed that right below the video was a comments section, and see where Dean Guidry has posted his opinion. Anyone else noticed this ? |
