Post Question about building a mudmotor
I've got a 35hp kawasaki ultralight airplane engine. It is beltdriven. How hard would it be for me to build a surface drive mudmotor with this thing? Is it just as simple as setting it on like a mudbuddy, godevil or gatortail frame?

With an airboat propeller - yes - right....

With a mudscrew - no - not gonna do it, nope noway...
unless you use a very small pitch like what a 6 hp might use.....
or a 3 to one reduction gear....
but that is silly.....

It's made for a blow job - use it that way....

Two stroke makes way more horse power per cc. 4 stroke makes way more torque.
Torque is what gets you to your horsePOWER band of sorts. It takes torque to get something moving, horsepower keeps it moving

Kyle at Gator Tail had a Rotax on a GT frame. He said it hauled ass but was very loud.
