Sitting on my porch drinking coffee and watching wood ducks fly around my home and then land in a 75 ft tall tree and walk in a hole while it's mate stands on a limb. There are several pair nesting across from my home and several pair nesting in the trees behind my home. I watch the woodies swim on my slough then fly up to a limb and go into the tree. It's great to see them return to the same old trees year after year. |

That's awesome. We don't have the woodies, but we do have a large population of squealers around the house. They had babies in our pond last year, and it looks like we may have them again this year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Had 2 hatchings in my pond already. About 30 baby's I see everyday. My crawfish pond is surrounded by tree's and I have a few boxes. I'd like to know how many woody's actually survive from raising there has to be quite a few hundred. Pretty awesome...... Ohh and they taste pretty good in a pot roast in the winter,. |

Last few years I've had 3 pair of woodies that nest in or around my yard. This year there are 8 pair! I love to sit on the back porch with my son in the afternoon and listen to them splashing and squealing in the oak bottom. I need to put up some boxes. |
