Hey guys I was wanting to get some input on colors for my boat blind. I live in GA and hunt main rivers swamps, open water lakes with various habitats along the banks, shallow lakes with floating vegetation, and a little marsh hunting. I am planning on building my blind with raffia grass and attaching it to either camo netting or plastic netting from Home Depot. What colors would blend in with the river swamps? I am thinking some dark Browns and dark greens with just a little natural. I can always add or remove sone colors based on where I plan on hunting or time of season. Thanks for the input

Have you ever been there?? If so, then use those colors...

Seriously, some of the questions lately, lol

Well, it IS the duck blind forum. Though I think boats and blinds would've been more applicable, as the intent for this section is chatting as if we were sitting in a duck blind.

If you want to be a smart ass please do it elsewhere. I am asking a question about raffia grass color because I've never dealt with it personally. And Russ you are correct I should have posted it in the other forum so for that I'm sorry.

I guess I should have been more specific as I really don't know colors look best for swamps. if someone has a picture of their boat with a blind that blends in well in swamps and could give me an idea of colors they used. I am picturing dark greens and Browns but I don't actually know if that will be best.

Here's an idea...buy the sample swatches and bring them to where you hunt, hang them in a tree and figure it out.

Basically what you're being told is..... There's no way for us to accurately answer your question. You know where you hunt. Order some grass, experiment with some dyes until you get the desired result. Best I can do dude.

As far as smartass, if that hurt your feelings, you should probably log-out and lose your password immediately. Seriously. Go read what you posted and try to hear it from someone else's POV...

Does anyone here know if its possible to fry fish when it's raining outside?

Rumor is, that you can't.

However, I've seen them caught in the rain without a problem.

Camouflage is not max 4 or shaddow fucking grass. It is about blending the fuck in. Take your ass to where you want to blend in... and try and match it. Wtf over?

When you say you're golden, don't you mean you are wearing gold in a purple boat?
