Waterfowl Fool.... First off, I'll let you know I take offense to your comments and I expect your comment to be edited or deleted along with an apology. Second, why should there be a no fly list or a no gun list? If the government has indisputable doubt that an individual is about to commit a crime or terrorist act, then arrest that individual for conspiring to commit the crime and prosecute. You and I have the potential to be mass shooters by the fact that we own guns. Do you want to be on some secret government list because you own a gun? If you vacationed in UAE, does that mean you get back to the US and you are now put on a no-fly list? One of the things about this country that is great is that you are presumed innocent until proven guilty. ANY government list is a miscarriage of that founding belief. I'm all about fighting terrorism and stopping mass murders. But, not at the sacrifice of our Constitution. Maybe you should educate yourself on the Bill of Rights and amendments to the Constitution which provide for due process. While in the process, learn a little about respecting other people and their families. |

I cannot remember the guys name but there was a DC politician who wound up on the no fly list. It took him about a year to sort it out. Just think if he was an ordinary citizen that the gov't "oops, not sure how that happened" him onto the list. |

I have no problems with no fly, no but lists. I'm not in a fear factor of the government taking my guns because they never will. I have fought for this country, I will continue to fight for this country BUT we as Americans have to put something in place whether it be a no-fly list and no gun list. The defense has to start now and it has to start fast or we will lose this country. I know all about constitutional laws and the rights that we have I have taken the steps to defend those. However if the government feel someone's deserving to be on a list that doesn't deserve to fly for whatever reason then so be it. And as far as guns then add them on that too I conduct myself in a manner that I I would never be considered to be on one of their list. However if that list assist with just one person not able to obtain a firearm that will end up being used on an innocent then I'm fine with that also The last thing I want to see is another mass shooting less than two hours from my home, or anywhere within our borders for that matter. We have to start now ! Or we wait until the next one and come on here and bitch about what's not gonna happen. You know like give more rights to those that don't deserve them He was on a list for a reason. The ball was dropped, find out why and fix it NOW! Who gets to say who is on the list? That is the problem. As the tea party folks who got audited. They were probably a nat's ass away from being flagged. Hell, you served. You ever have PTSD? You are on the list. Your kid take Ritalin? He is a danger? Cancer? That could give you diminished reasoning... on and on and on. Give a crook an open door and a locked door is not worth messing with. Leave the 2nd amendment alone because there is a back door to disarm 2/3's of the population due to some made up shit. |

Not to be the crazy conspiracy guy here, but sometimes I wonder if there is something bigger going on here... http://thehill.com/blogs/congress-blog/ ... ith-terror My understanding is that last few domestic shooters/ Radical Muslims/Isis/ terrorists-whatever you call these morons- were actually on watch lists and would have been unable to purchase firearms from an FFL had the records not been scrubbed. How many of us that fly regularly and take the occasional hunting trip, or use a bag for travel and to carry shooting gear worry about a loose bullet, or powder residue being in or on a bag putting you on a no fly list? What would happen if they used the same background checks same as guns to fly, get into Disney, use mass transit, rather than an arbitrary no fly list. I try to stay pretty neutral in life, but it is getting to be a war zone in this country. |

Apparently you don't know what you think you do about the consitution, if you feel the government can take away your consitutinal right for "whatever reason" as you stated. Also, talking on a "right wing' hunting forum, and claiming to be selling your 500 AR's for a profit (maybe your an FFL) my be all it takes to put you on the "list" |

Armed, vigilant populous is the first step. The next step is to eliminate gun free zones so there are no soft targets. The last several mass shootings have been so called gun free zones. The final and most difficult step....the government and LEO to enforce the laws that are already on the books. |

you can take away the right to get guns here , but no matter what the gov does , they'll still get them and kill . Look at France , UK , and many other country's that have a gun ban . They still conducted mass shooting . I'm ex-military and retired from drug task force , so I'm going to say what some don't , fight fire with fire , they cut a head off , cut 5 of theirs off . The politicians at the white house has made all Moss ( where Muslims pray ) off limits from the FBI on being investigated , a very known fact . Get the politicians out of it , let the LEO's and military do their job , and things would change , but taking guns out of the picture wouldn't change a thing , they will still KILL , PERIOD ! |

Rush said it very well today on his show, as he often does. He was making a joke of sorts, but it made a good point. If you want to change laws to stop this sort of thing, we don't need to be looking at guns laws or an US laws, we should be looking at Sharia (no idea if that's how you spell it) law, as that's the only thing these people listen to, and what is driving all these attacks. Waterfowl fool -- couldn't be happier to hear you have seen the light. Our country is slowly slipping away to tyranny. It's amazing how many people who you would think are like minded, that hunt and fish and are gun owners, that don't really stop to think about what these sorts of things mean to our freedom. People are all to quick to give up just a little freedom here and there to try and help serve the greater good, all the time thinking how something like this really won't affect me as it's designed to stop criminals, when in fact all these sorts of laws do is further restrict law abiding citizens. |
