I'm wanting to rig something up in my ride to place my pistol in when on the road. This will be for my carry gun so I don't have to always wear it when driving. And I'm not just wanting to put it in the console. I thought about trying to mount an owb holster somehow keeping the pistol out of view but able to be accessed quickly if needed. Any of you guys done this or have any pointers on doing this?

They make some neat seat covers. You might pm netman, he had a couple neat things in his ride.

Search for "gun magnet", like . You can glue it to the backside of your underdash or console. They work well and when you remove the gun there's no holster or mount left to indicate you may have a smoke wagon in your vehicle.

Personally, I'd go with the under the steering column!
I really hate the idea of sticking my custom carry 1911 to a damn magnet!!

I'm just going to use an owb holster I have and rig it in my console. I like the concept of the under steering wheel mount but I think it'll be best if it's hidden from view.

Came up with a solution. Kinda rigged but it came out good I think and my piece is hidden. Only cost was a couple dollars for the hardware. Ended up just using the owb holster that came with my pistol.

I have a similar setup with a factory Springfield holster. Except down near my right calf while driving. I always keep an old rag or something laid over the top of the gun where it's not obvious. Just looks like junk in the floorboard. Very easy to get to while seated.

I've never had FB, but i get the just of it (People wanting other people to know how awesome their lives are), thats not for me.

I do search Pinterest though, its basically a catalog of DIY ideas and products you search. Ive done multiple backyard projects using the info i got from the site. its useful. If you haven't tried it, give it a shot one time and see for yourself.

i did a quick search for you will :D
