Anybody got a boss drive? Are they pretty good and hold up like a gt or pd?

I'm pretty sure Pete Willet has/runs one.
Seems like they're pretty good, just a little slow when brand new.

I see one every now and then on my local lake. u can tell it's a boss drive because they make a different sound when running. that is, if they don't have one of them stupid loud 'mufflers' on it.

I have a Boss Drive 44 and it has been great. A hunting buddy also has the same Boss setup and hasn't had any issues with the Boss Drive section but did have minor Briggs related issues, as do most with Briggs engines. They do sound a little different but performance has been great, Both are rigged with remote steering and drive and operate like an outboard, easy flawless gear changes.
I hope this helps.

I've had a Boss 44 for 2 years now, the only problem I have had was the case leaked on the briggs at 20hrs it was warranted. I really like mine, performance as been great. I would recommend them to anyone who ask.
