Post subject: | Help for Duck Wrangler Boat |
I have a 14ft. Duck Wrangler boat and want to put on a mud type motor and where I live nobody runs them so I would like some advice. The lake I hunt is shallow and 2.5x1.5 miles. Deepest water is around 3 ft. with lots of mud flats and shallow water between them. I do not know the difference between any of the shallow mud drive type motors and would like to get it right the first time. My boat sits lower in the transom area with a 30hp Merc 4 stroke. I can not use this setup on my lake and any advice would be appreciated. Thx in advance. |

No bigger than that lake is, get a longtail. Anything 16hp and larger would be fine on that boat. If you could pick up a 24hp (the Honda engine) on a mb, or get a 23hp backwater, you'd have a nicely powered rig. |
