I'm in the process of moving and when I arrive at my new house, I'll be putting up a 30' x 50' x 14' insulated metal building. I'm online looking at lighting and would really prefer to put LED's. I'm looking at low bay lighting due to my ceiling is below 20'. You guys have any recommendations on what to get or what to look for?

LED is the way to go. Don't let anyone talk you out of it. Most fixtures have a 5-7 year warranty and you will have the same money in it after you change bulbs out one time. The LED fixtures will be a little over double what a good quality fluorescent fixture would be but they keep a bright light and fluorescent don't. I put some high bay LED's in a 14 foot eve building and they are awesome. You can shop around and find some cheaper than others but cheaper isn't always better. We ordered from here http://www.e-conolight.com/indoor-light ... w-bay.html

You could just run led bulbs in the regular shop light fixtures. My shop is only 30x30, but the fixtures are at 10 ft. I've got 16 each 4 ft, 6 across each end, 4 across the middle. The led bulbs were a bit better light for my preference than the flourescent. Haven't swapped them all out yet, just the one to see if I wanted to expend the money. Right now it's a toss up since they're still good bulbs. As these bulbs die, I'll replace with led.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CH ... =UTF8&th=1, 50w indoor/outdoor lights, I use them in my shop and outside, and they are bright. also they have 100w. this is a 10 pack should be more than enough to light up a shop. Cheap and fixtures are wired with plugs.

my shop leds are so bright you can hardly look at them! You want bright white not soft. No heat and Ballast noise. I love'em

Right, figure I'd put 8 lights, 4 per 25' bay and may have the two separate bays on separate switches.

why not led tubes? I converted my kitchen lights from florescent to the led tube. made a huge difference.

I could, but its a new build. If I had the old fixtures, I would go that route for ease. Did that under my carport and there great. Just trying to figure out my options.
