Im flying to Chicago Wednesday morning and spending the night, then driving back home to South La. Anyone ever been? Any cool things to see while we are there? Will probably never go back again. lol My brother-In-Law and I are catching a cubs vs. Brewers game Wednesday. and that's about all the plans we have so far. I also found a Top Golf in the Wood Dale area. Anywhere we should stop to eat on our 14 hours trip back down south? |

Tons of great things to do in Chicago. Sky deck at Willis Tower, Mich ave, Cubs game, Navy Pier, Science and Industry museum. The deep dish is great but also consider splurging at one of the excellent steak houses. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Coming through central/southern Illinois, stop at any Monical's pizza close to the interstate. Looks like the closest one to I-57 is in Arcola. There's Lambert's in Sikeston, MO....more along the lines of comfort food. It's where 57 meets 55. From there, nothing but nothing all the way to Memphis! (Read - Arkansas) Memphis area..... Uncle Lou's Chicken.....and tell Uncle Lou I said, "Hello." Rendezvous for ribs if you like tangy....they use a vinegar base marinade. Memphis BBQ Company in Southaven, MS for sweet ribs. If it's a Friday or Saturday night on your way back, Como Steakhouse in Como, MS. Best steak you will ever sink your teeth into. Expect a wait if you are not there early....and they don't take reservations. |

Been to Chicago twice. Stayed in Schaumburg. That was a nice area. Drove into the city and caught a Cubs game and did the tourist stuff. I don't recall eating anywhere that was very impressive though. I don't plan on ever going back. Memphis (aka Armpit of Tennesee). Panhandlers every 5 feet hounding you and following you around in packs. Went to The Pig on Beale for some BBQ. BBQ there was nothing to write home about. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk |

live in chicagoland.... where you staying? I can direct you from there. tons of good stuff to do. Lou Malnati's pizza is awesome but by far the pest in Chicago is Peaquod's pizza in Old Town. Cubs games are legit, rent DIVY bike and ride the lakefront. etc... if you are in the burbs, there are different things to do. |

I didn't plan to stay in the middle of the city. I got a hotel in Wood Dale. After the game we will be making our way out of the city. But we are definitely wanting to do a few things while there. We'll check it out |

if you are in wood dale, look to see if there are any good concerts at the allstate arena while you are in town. that's close and hosts some real good shows. but for sure hit up Peaquod's pizza when you are in the city for the game.... I stop every time I'm down there. Lou Malnati's has become a chain out here and will deliver to your room if needed. |
