I had seen this story before but never seen it first hand until today...we stumbled across this on accident tonight and it was a truly very chilling moment to walk around a corner and see an officer in the middle of the street playing Taps. The veteran who originally started this tradition recently passed away in February but the officer who who blocked traffic every day for him to force people to watch him now carrys on his tradition. He can be found every evening at sunset on the corner of Post Office St. and 21st Street in Galveston Tx.
