How difficult is it to dial the trim tabs in on one of these? Also, what is the rubber thing by the manual trim knob. I'm assuming it will hold the motor at a certain point to keep it from runnin too deep

If the motor is trimed right and prop wont hold down then you can slightly bend tabs up with a creasant wrench to get more down force out of them. The rubber tipped flip lever is there to hold motor up so trim knob can be dialed in. If you need to dig out of something then flip the rubber tipped lever to allow engine to drop a few inches and dig, without having to back the trim knob all the way down and then back up to reset the trim. There are have been a few guys break trim parts off by slamming the motor up and down digging out but forgetting to flip the lever. Congrats on the new rig

http://www.godevil.com/wp-content/uploa ... mplete.pdfhttp://www.godevil.com/wp-content/uploa ... stment.pdfThe water line should be somewhere on the silver bushing just in front of the prop at speed. As stated above, if you have the trim dialed in to that level and the prop wants to kick out of the water, then bend the trim tabs up. The trim itself is very sensitive and sensitive to weight. I have to adjust mine a little if I'm running empty vs when I'm running with 3 guys and a full hunt load. Be sure to grease the trim screw now and again. If it locks up due to rust it's a pain to get loose. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

There is no substitute for a good prop !
If you are thinking about trim tabs you may have a worn out prop as old worn props and poorly rebuilt props have more "lift" than a good new prop....
New the 3 blade is 3 1/2" across the fattest part of each blade when they measure less than 3" across - replace the prop....
Solo in that hull you should be bumping 30 mph at 3800 rpm with a good prop and if a stock motor spins over 4000 rpm the prop is worn out....
