We've got a small leak on the roof at the camp. No serious damage done yet but I want to get it fixed this weekend before it gets bad. I plan on sealing around all my vents etc too. Does anybody have a recommendation on a product/dealer they've used in the past with good luck? I'm not wanting to re roof this thing. It would cost as much as the old building is worth lol

My father-in-law is a roofer.
I can ask him for ya.
Along with any other questions you may have.

Im actually surprised no one linked the Cajun flex seal video lol

Grace Ice and Water Shield is a good product for covering and area. Otherwise just a bunch of the black bituthane mastic works too. If you are using anything for leaks just remember to get it so that there isn't water setting anywhere or running left/right. Everything should run downhill and you got no problems.

It's a small spot up near the peak of the roof, it should be a relatively easy fix. I just want to make sure I'm getting the best stuff.

It looks like a limb hit it during a storm or something and busted a few shingles and tweaked one of the vents. It's not real bad but it needs to be addressed asap.

I thought about ol Phil Swifteaux but I want something a little more semi permanent'ish

I'd replace the shingles in that spot and be done with it, won't have to worry about anything peeling up or cracking

Ice and water shield is excellent stuff to add before shingles.

There is a self leveling flex seal caulk that is the ticket for membrane type flat roofing. Would imagine it might work in your application, but hard to beat good old fashioned black bull.

I replaced a few shingles and went over any exposed nails and around vents with some bad ass kinda sealer. Should be good to go barring any kamakazi tree limbs getting ahold of it.

Right. That's all I found exposed. Along with two on the ridge vents. It's got those pancake looking vents on it, and I've seriously considered changing them. The damn things are plastic! I never realized it.

A lot of them are. It shouldn't really matter.
