I'm just looking for suggestions on youth waders that are affordable. My son is 12 and loves to go hunting with us but has to stay in the boat or if we are wading has to stay back sometimes and he wants to do it all. Problem is spending money on expensive waders he will be out of next year. Any suggestions would be appriciated.

Stockingfoot are usually cheaper, a couple sizes big so they last another year, hip or waist waders, uninsulated canvas with some layers underneath and some quality merino wool socks for his toes, just a few ideas. I used a pair of stockingfoot for a couple years with wading boots that were big. Actually grew in to the boots and used them deer hunting for a couple years lol.

Honestly if your boy won’t be out of the boat or blind much and won’t abuse them, go get a cheap set of waders from academy sports. You can often find them for around $50. Just toss them at the end of the year and get him a bigger size next year. I wouldn’t get him expensive ones for sure for a few years till hose size stabilizes.

Also, watch wingsupply.com for good deals. I’ve gotten MacksPW brand waders on there for over 60% off before

I do know Drake came out this year with improved breathables in 4 different sizing options. You might find something for them that way

Winchester makes a decent pair of youth neoprenes
