Wow - really anxious to see a 2020 Indy 500 - possibly the first major Indy car racing event of 2020 ! ! ! Pushed back till August - it will likely be strange to see empty stands instead of the usual 500,000 plus people who normally attend... Money on team Pensky.... |

Hopefully they can have fans By the time they run. I really wanted to head to Alabama and watch them run and then see Jimmy Johnson year one after the race. |

Over 130,000 fans - socially distanced - LOL - at the 2021 Indy 500.... It normally houses over 500,000 fans and has been historically the largest human gathering on the planet each year.... Hadn't seen these posts before. I've done 2 of the Indy 500's, one was the 100th running. Took the travel trailer and stayed in the turn 4 premium lot with 50 amp power. Scratched that off my bucket list. Lots of people and lots of heat. It's the midwest Mardi Gras. This summer I did the Knoxville Sprint Car Nationals in Iowa and the Tony Bettenhausen 100 at Springfield Illinois. I'll say Kyle Larson is the finest race car driver I've ever seen. |
