Sorry, I have just been looking at all the Mudd Buddy, Boss, Pro Drive, Gatortail, etc. and I was just wondering what everybody liked.
You should also consider the dealership selling it as a big part of your decision...
Not to mention - budget...
As to what we like - most like what they currently own...
I like GoDevil - because of their service - the fact that the hulls have USCG floatation - that
the hulls are optimized for their motors - because where I run we have to run over hard sand
and the longer outdrive is an asset - we have to climb over logs and the balanced frame is
an asset - and they are simple with less things to go wrong....
Worst mistake most to make is just slapping brand X motor on brand Z hull - they work best
as a matched set... Unlike outboards each MM is optimized for a different transom angle - a
different transom trailing edge design - etc etc etc.... I makes a huge difference what type
terrain you need to overcome...
Test drive in the area you want to use it - before you buy - or like many you will be unsatisfied
and sell it at a loss a year later....
Somewhere around the 18x48 size hull with a 35 to 40 HP - is a good place to start...
