I didn’t hunt teal season cause I tore my bicep but I can’t wait to get out there with my girls. I missed last season cause of work but I’m not gonna miss this season.

We start Saturday over here in west Louisiana.I missed the youth/veterans hunt due to prior commitments last weekend. Just spent yesterday after work tuning up the Pro-drive.
All is good now, and ready to roll out at the crack of smack Saturday am.

Dularge has zero grass and zero birds from the few scouting trips my buddies did. That storm messed things up our way bad

In Pecan Island, 10 miles north of us is loaded with birds. We have a few but not enough

Wow man I’m sorry to hear that. Man pecan island ain’t that far from where I live I’m Texas. It’s just up 82. Johnson’s bayou is 20 minutes from my place.

I do a lot of timber hunts for woodies along the Calcaseiu. It was severely tore up from Laura and Delta. Most of the old cuts are now impassable and require scouting with a chainsaw.

Saturday was great. 2 man limit of woodies by 620am. Sunday was rough, very foggy till about 830. Hoping for some cool clear mornings this coming weekend and over the holidays.

Hopefully the Friday overnight NW winds will bring them in. I seem to always have better numbers with a northerly wind.
