 The only thing worse The only thing worse than getting a flat while taking a short cut through the ghetto is realizing that someone has stolen your spare tire and now you have to wait for reinforcements  I'm just glad it happened to me and not my wife or while I was 200 miles away from home.

Re: The only thing worse Did you go thru the 9th Ward instead of Paris Road? I took that route once. Thought I lost my axle in a huge pothole but I wasn't stopping to find out. If I had to, I was going to drag the damn trailer on the frame until I made it to safety or at least I-10. Needless to say I haven't been back to visit the poor souls of the Ninth Ward who lost everything in Katrina (or at least thats what the national news tells me).
If you took a different shortcut, please let me know which one so that I can avoid it like the plague. I usually carry a gun but that particular group of people are one of few that scare me. Them and the gang members in Nigeria who walk around with Hyena's on a chain leash.
