Buying a boat out of state
Question for you guys who have purchased a boat out of state. Did you have to get the bill of sale and title notarized to transfer the boat and trailer to your name in Louisiana? Also, if notarized, did you get it notarized in LA or whichever state you purchased the boat in?
Thanks
Ryan

Re: Buying a boat out of state
I didnt have anything notarized. As a result i had an issue registering the trailer.
I didnt have any trouble with registering the boat
If i had to do it all again i would have everything notarized just to avoid any issues

I've sold 2 to guys in LA and bought 1 from LA. Goin to LA, they had to have everything notorized. Comin from LA, I didn't need anything notorized, but needed everything in detail. Best thing you can do is contact your parks and wildlife dept and find out EXACTLY what they require before you even go look at the rig.
