I have labeled Crips Camp, there are other camps along Cypress Drive. I also labeled the star ditch to help people figure out how to get back into Crips camp area via boat. It's only a 5-10 min boat ride max from most of the cabins on the water.

Spent the weekend out there and the riding is starting to get good. Spent alot of time around goat island and its starting to get thick. By the time the run gets here im sure it will be nasty.

This looks like a really nice place to ride. I would like to go but I am a little hesitant. From the videos that I've watched it looks like most of yal's boat's a lot faster than mine. Mine might run 22 mph with me and one other. It's a 23 hp gdsd on an a 18x36 duck skiff. It is actually SAM III's old boat. Just wondering what yal would think about it running with yal's boats. Thanks

Dude, that's a nice rig. Don't hesitate to come along with us. I'll tell you this much, I, along with a few others here, DO NOT leave ANYONE behind. The longer runs will just take us a lil longer to get there, that's all.

x2, everyone will wait. If some get too far ahead, they will stop and have a beer while people catch up. Anything over 20 should be more than enough to keep up with the pack though. Nobody racing or anything.

From what I remember, that boat's not really very slow for a 23 pushin an 18' boat.

Post subject:  Re: Caddo Information

It might run 23 mph with just me. I just didn't want to get left behind and get lost or make anyone have to stay behind because I'm running too slow. I have seen some ppl's post where they are running 33 and 34 mph. Bought the boat due to the new McFadden refuge regs. Only got to hunt out of it once last year. It seems to due pretty good but I don't really know too much about them.

McFadden? Where you from? We can all get together & run sometime.

Post subject:  Re: Caddo Information

I can promise most the people wont be running any where close to 33 mph. Most of the runs ive been to are very laid back with lots of stops to shoot the shit and drink a beer or two. Come on and have a good time with the rest of em.

I live in Nederland, tx hunted McFadden mostly this year it was pretty good out there. Good enough for me to get rid of my 40 hp outboard on my 18 ft wedcraft and get this go devil. Yal are about to talk me into reserving a cabin.

The 30 + speeds are not a norm and I agree w/ above posts... all folks usually just get on step and ride.

Ain't no sense in runnin around WFO all the time and burnin up your gas. Get on step and cruise about 25 mph and enjoy your beer.

That is an issue with to many rigs at some runs. Unfortunately in a place where you are running alot of bayous there is not much "running" taking place. By the time you get in line and on plane your already stopping again. Chit will wear you out quick.
