We went ahead a made a forum for the 2012 event. This will be my 3rd time back at Caddo and love it more & more every year.

It would be appreciative if we knew any conflicting dates in the month of June from any of the guys in the area.

My vote is for the 1st or 29th.

I don't really have an interest in even helping out this year especially if it's going to be anything like the drama that went down last year. I'm sitting this one out, especially after Eddie's post. Someone else can shoulder this event I don't need the headache or aggravation and that one post was enough to make me shake my head & say f-it!

I really hate to spoil the fun but about 20-25 boats is really enough for a good ride on Caddo. If you get any larger it ends up being a cluster. Now in a wide open area like on the coast Im sure it is alot easier to accomodate more folks. But the bayous of Caddo get a little crowded, especially with all the other boats in the area. Yeh there needs to be a little leadership involved but with some preplanning on food and routes for rides its easy. I dont think there is much more to it than that. You make a plan and then either everyone else can follow it of fend for themselves.

If you have a large showing then you need to break it down into smaller groups before you head out. A large group just gets stretched out way to much and it takes forever to get things accomplished.

The year before last was the first year I ever went. You could tell that the boys put some effort in to organizing it. Everything went very smooth and didn't even look planned, but I can tell you now that I know there was def some planning involved and I don't blame you at all for wanting to keep it a little more simple now. Only complaint I ever had was when going from a public ride for several years, to a private ride for the first year I didn't see any point in rubbing it in the faces of those who weren't invited. If it's private, keep it that way.

Last year wasn't bad. Hell we had a great time, but general consensus from pretty much everyone I've talked to about it had a much better time on Thurs and Fri before the "big ride". Saturday was too many people, too much confusion, no routes planned, just kinda hectic for a little while. Can it be done, yeah for sure. Wouldn't even take that much effort, but it will take some. Nobody I talked to wants to deal with it and would rather meet up a few times on a few different weekends and have a good time the whole time like we did on the first couple days last year. I wasn't opposed to doing a big ride, but nobody else really wanted to help or really even go , so I said fuck it.

When I get some dates lined up that I know at least my small crew will be out there, I'll try to post a few of them up, but as for a big ride we aren't gonna do it. Someone else can and I will probably go if they do, but I ain't gonna fool with it.

Yeh I seem to remember a couple folks that didnt get an invite that started most of that chit last year. But I think yall figured out what the rest of us had already. The bigger the ride the bigger the headach.

You know the story about the Old Bull dont you? You younguns need to learn to pace yourselves a little better. I think some of the older LA members closed down the bar just about every run.

And thats not a bad thing except that in June it to forkin hot for a fire.

We shut down the bar and then went somewhere else for another couple hours.

Cb as Poker was saying there was shit stirring before hand by a few who don't visit the site much anymore. The same thing happened the year before also.

Smaller rides are better and more personal. Larger rides have a time and place and if someone wants to organize one great.

Now I've gone and gotten Coe all pissy because I didn't insert one of these or these . Nothing against anyone,I would like to meet everyone that I haven't met on here.

Again like Poker said plan a ride and folks will come and everyone will have a good time.

Last year at caddo was the first mud run I ever attended. I had a great time meeting alot of you guys and even showing a few of you how to fish. The first few days were a blast. But the last one was just too many boats. People getn lost broke down just a little hectic. But im Game to Make the haul again, Y'all just set a date and I'll show up!

Lets make the ride again at caddo who ever puts it on or even if someone don't put it on, we can just all meet at the same place and have fun. I attended the one year before last and it was flawless, not a whole bunch of boats though, some of us got lost but the maps provided took us back to crips, also the trails around that place provide some of the prettiest veiws ive seen on a lake. Would be a shame if we don't ride again because of a bunch of grown ups that can't seem to get along.

Every one gets along on a ride no matter who you are, so don't let the internet fuss stop you from attending a ride

So will there be a Caddo Run this year? Let's set a date sometime in June and do it again...I'm game.

I'm not helping out with anything up there this year. Sorry I have enough on my plate. I have a cabin reserved at 3 different times during the summer for different tournaments.
