All that the historic accounts prove is that there was someone named jesus around the same time at the time of the supposed events of the bible. Would the name Peter being found in documents from today prove that Spiderman is real? Nope.
Why would god approve of something then later change it? And why do you act like jesus and god are separate people with different ideas? They are the same person, assuming they were real. Why would god who knows all past present and future make laws in the old testament just to change them in the new testament?

I find it funny that you specifically mention not accepting the teachings of jesus being responsible for welfare considering that he was a socialist who ordered the rich to sell all their possessions and give everything to the poor. He also wasn't white, he was either black or arab
I'm not going to go into all of it but start using multiple news sources, other than fox. Read into the recent rulings by the SCOTUS and the alabama supreme court. You thinking that religion does not affect everyone is hilarious. Maybe you didn't notice that religion is specifically targeting same sex couples and trying to pass laws against them, even though jesus did away with those old testament laws (see how your beliefs so easily fall apart).
