My 94 year old aunt graduated from college at the age of 54 and became a social worker. She has always been a huge democratic supporter. She has walked the talk by foster caring for literally dozens of children who came from broken homes or troubled pasts, and all of them became productive citizens. I used to do so many adoptions for her clients there would be waiting lines in my office. She did this in addition to raising her own three children: a doctor, a lawyer and a nurse. She would give anything of hers to help the poor. She worked in a hospital where she saw all the illegitimate welfare babies being born. She was a staunch Catholic, as well. But her compassionate solution to a welfare state and crime statics in the minority population was to sterilize mothers, snip fathers, and abort pregnancies. I cannot tell you how many she counseled in that direction....thousands for sure, over the course of 35 years. She worked until she was in her late 80's. I think she was right. Our world cannot sustain the current population growth much longer. |

As humans it's tough to understand why God allows pain in suffering in this world? And to be completely honest I don't know. There are things we are just not meant to understand, but will be revealed to us once we are beyond this life. I know this is not the answer you seek and that's ok because it is human nature to ask very tough questions. I do believe this though: God made a perfect world in the beginning, he looked it over and was pleased. When the humans basically told God to shove it and said they wanted free will, that's what he gave them. He gave them the opportunity to sin. But at the same time he gave them the opportunity to know true love. It would be nice to live in a world where sin and suffering do not exists but at the same time without sin and suffering we would not know what true love is. Would we go around and just say I love you and not knowing what that really means. I think we would loose all sincerity when saying this if we didn't have the knowledge of sin. I know this thread was meant to tear down people of faith and make them ask themselves why God allows such pain in this world. But I can honestly say thank you to Idacraw an elijife. What you just did for me was profound. As normal I have a busy Saturday planned but upon reading this thread it made me question my beliefs, so I stopped what I was doing and went to the bookshelf. There I found my bible which was covered with dust, and begin to read. In this book I regained strength in my beliefs and for you to lead me back to it i am thankful. With complete sincerity, Thank You! |

Some populations are in decline... United States citizens overall is down but Hispanic citizens and Hispanic illegals births are up.... blacks are down due to incensed abortions and whites aren't having large families like decades past. you drink the kool aid, id rather drink the whiskey and raise hell!!!! |

In all seriousness, reading the bible when you have doubts about the bible does as much good as going to heroine dealer to help get you sober. The bible creates the disease and offers you the cure, there are alternatives out there if you are willing to open your eyes. |

I go where I am needed go get'er, some might say it's a calling. You would be surprised at how many people have thanked me for calling out people like ranger and frog on their bullshit. They spread lies and deceit and you people buy it because it fits your narrow view of life. I offer a counter balance to their claims, and usually they show their ignorance and run away like frog did recently because his faith can't stand up to reason and logic. If your beliefs go against mountains of evidence and defy logic and reason it is time to reconsider those beliefs, if I can help just one person see that then I have made a difference. |
