I usually don't post mount pics, but killing Blues in Fl will probably never happen again for me. My buddy and I killed these Blue Geese here in North Central Florida on a public lake two seasons ago. We were blinded up shooting ringers one morning and heard the geese coming way before we ever saw them. I actually heard them calling way up high for a minute before I said anything to my buddy because I couldn't believe what I was hearing. We watched a group of 12 bomb down on a floating tusset mat. We hunted them over the next 3 days and dwindled down the pack to 2 hens. We would duck hunt at sun-up and make it to the "goose spot" by 9:30 and they would usually be along shortly after. I figured out where they were roosting and that they'd come in everyday at 10:00 to the tusset mat to feed. The cool thing was that after we would knock down a couple, I could usually call'm back by mouth for one last pass as long as one was still flapping on the tusset mat. My buddy has been hunting this area for 40+ years and never had seen any geese other than a few canadas. I've never heard of any other Blue's being killed in FL, but I sure wish that we had more.
