Unusual Fishing Trip
Hit a small remote river the other day to try and catch some flatheads. Over a bunch of sandbars and through stumps to get there. Pretty rough going with the river down. Fishing was slow so I threw out a crawler thinking at least we could catch some small channels or something. Immediately it gets whacked and we end up catching a bunch of these!!! Go fishing for cats and all that bites are these darn things!!!!!

Re: Unusual Fishing Trip
Yeah, that is a walleye. We caught quite a few smaller ones. This dude inhaled a 6" bluegill last night. Didn't know channels liked live gills so much! I just love the look on the faces of the bank fishermen at the boat ramp when I head upriver. It is pretty rough going. If I didn't have the GTR I wouldn't make it up this river!!

Re: Unusual Fishing Trip
We have been catching some really nice channels on live gills the past couple of weeks. They are hitting the cut gills as well.

If someone took some heavy scissors and started snippin' off my body parts, I think I'd be pretty distressed too!
