Post Beretta A400 cleaning questions
Hey guys. I just got a Beretta A400 about 2 and a half weeks ago. With that being said I am asking how are others cleaning theirs? I am more concerned with cleaning the outside of the gun. Oil the outside? This is the first como finish. I've always had blued finishes. Just afraid if I use hopes#9 and oil it may left camo over time. Any info would be great. Thanks

Ya I put alittle hops on a rag and wiped down the outside then chased it with another dry rag. Just don't want to screw it up and not know it for a year or so then go to grab it and it slide out of my hand and I be holdind a glob of camo paint and a nice shiny barrel.

I'm in salt water all the time with mine and every time I get home with it I rinse it down with my hot water hose pipe "garden hose" for you that don't speak coonass.. And that's inside and out really good, then let it dry and spray it with some lube and I haven't had one problem out of it..Mine is the camo also lube won't hurt the camo or the hot water.. 2 seasons of shooting ducks and lots of skeet shooting out of it..

The berettas have coatings external and internal. Beretta recommends to just wipe down external and internal. Only thing to put oil on is the rotating bolt per Beretta

There's no need to coat it wirh oil. The camo coating is what protects the metal. So just clean the dirt off and dry it off.

I don't clean mine till it stops shooting. And that only happened once.

bore snake through the barrel and wet rag on the outside.

for a thorough clean - hoppes on the internals - then wiped dry - light oil on the rails.

the end.
