 Re: Lets talk broadheads
Switched to rage last year after 3 blade muzzy didn't do the damge needed on a boone and crocket buck the year before. It got him it just didn't leave enough blood to find him. It took out one lung and he just kept walking and walking. tracked him forever. Finally lost the blood and footprints and never found him. I had the help of a 2 very competent guys with me. I am still sick to my stomache over it. Switched to rage both deer I shot last year never went more then 40 yards, the first one was dead on her feet ran ten yards smack into a tree.No clue what hit her. They leave a hole like a grenade. I have shot 2 and 3 blade 100 gr. they are the best thing on the market. I am sure other brands are great as well. I will not shoot anything but a rage from now on. I used to say the same thing about muzzy.

 Re: Lets talk broadheads
rage 3 blade 100 grain entry hole like none other blows threw every time and for hog blades montech g5 i have used the exact same broadhead and killed 4 deer without sharpening or buying replacement blades now that makes it worth the money the other two from the pack will cut some hair this season last week end i killed a skillet head to make number four with that one and she is showing signs of needing replacement blades

 Re: Lets talk broadheads
i use SLICK TRICKS, they work awesome for me. always leave plenty of blood and never had one go farther than 50 yards. they fly tru, are very durable. finding them is the only problem i have had. so i bought 4 packs last time i was at gander mountain.

Mini Blaster 3 blade... It leaves a hole the size of my fist. Never lost a deer with it. Of course shot placement is where it's at no matter what broadhead. Call the guys at Precision Archery in Bridge City. Talk to Donnie!!!

 Re: Lets talk broadheads
Well i made my first kill with my bow yesterday morning at Rayburn and unfortunatly it was not a deer but a Coyote. Sucker came in at 25 yards and i smoked him with a MiniBLaster three blade and wow, i am impressed with those things, entry hole wasn't big but man you'd thought i shot that thing with a 300mag at 40 yards by the exit wound. Blood trail wasn't even a problem, that sucker bled as if someone was pouring it out of a cup. Love me some Mini BLasters so far.

 Re: Lets talk broadheads
I really think you should use the AR-15 with a trijicon so you don't have to wait all day for it to get close! Then head out to fork and meet up with us to wack ducks. Bow hunting is a whole different game and you should learn this stuff in the off season so your ready. Its like a 300 yrd shot with a pistol you can't expect instant results.
