Try this guy, I fished with him last winter. Caught 25 trout in 3 hrs. Very nice man with tons of stories. Don't go there for Valentine's day....diversity pride weekend

Anyone from up that way or ever fished the area. Booked a few days up there next April for our aniversary and was looking into doing a day or 2 of guided trout fishing. Any guides you recomend or better areas to fish?????? |

I live about 30 minutes from Eureka Springs. If you are talking about fishing the white river below Beaver Dam, then fishing has been hit or miss lately due to them generating so much. In April you will have to worry about the water level. The past 2 years we have got lots of rain and water has been way high. If I was going to plan a trout trip, I would go to Cotter and fish the white river below Bull Shoals. I went over there last year and caught more trout than I could/want to count. In April, the white bass fishing on War Eagle River is awesome. It isn't that close to Eureka, but probably the best time I've had fishing this area. Thanks for the help. We are staying in ES for our aniversary and just thought some trout fishing would be a nice change of pace. I thought it may be hit or miss depending on the spring water level. Not against some stripper fishing if thats what is going at the time. |
