I have never hunted woodies so the question is I will be in a river do u throw the decoys out like mallard hunting or do u put them close to the shore and down trees |

I put mine closer to the tree line but you got to remember they flying fast and furious so they got to be able to see them. |

Your best bet is to probably scout and find a little slough that they are piling up in and through out a couple of decoys and be very still! But to answer your question put them a lil closer to the trees like he said. |
