 Re: pattern master
I ordered one for a goose hunt this Thursday. I'll let you know. I've been using Briley chokes, but I've heard lots of good things about the Patternmaster.

 Re: pattern master
Buddy of mine swears by his Master so much that he's never taken it out so yeah it won't come out, permanently rusted in there but it doesn't seem to affect his shooting!

 Re: pattern master
I shoot both. But the kicks has more of a selection. I feel like because they are a little bit longer the patterns are a little tighter. I much rather kicks black cloud than pattern masters.

 Re: pattern master
Been shooting with one for years... Every thing from doves with light loads to geese with 3 1/2" arm bruisers. Never missed anything i'v hit with it... Shooting a Nova. I like mine and have no cons about it... No matter what ya get, put some pellets on paper and see how it shoots in yo gun.. Its kinda like woman, they may look the same or be from the same family but each is going to be or do somethime different...

 Re: pattern master
I shoot an extended ported Patternmaster in my SBEII and love it. No cripples whatsoever. I've ordered a few from http://www.griebeloutdoors.com/ . The customer service is awesome, and they're about the cheapest I've found.

 Re: pattern master
i like kent, iv shot 3 boxes of them and i think thats what im going to go with nxt year, this year i have been with the basic winchester xperts 3in 4shot and also had some old estate 3.5 2s for longer set ups
do you shoot more 3s or 3.5s? i was wondering how the extended choke did with just 3in or even 2 3/4 shells? shouldn't it shoot them like a good full choke?
or will shooting anything besides 3.5s out of a extended not pattern well? thanks Ray

 Re: pattern master
Man i switched to Kent Fasteal's about 2 yrs ago and haven't looked back, i am shooting the 3" 11/4 ounce shot #4's, them things are deadly. I occasionally break out the 2's depending on how far out the birds are but 4's usually do the trick!

 Re: pattern master
U could also try the Remington hypersonic. It flies fast but dies out quick. I shoot it with a kicks improved cylinder for decoying shots in a couple potholes we hunt.

 Re: pattern master
Got to try my new Patternmaster today. I shoot Fiocchi shotshells only. Today was 3 1/2" BBB. Shot a specklbelly and a few lesser canadians. All I can say is "wow". The birds crumpled.

 Re: pattern master
been on 2 hunts with the new choke, if i had extra cash i would buy everyone on this site one, i made some shots that i couldn't believe.. you can reach out there and touch them when you get your lead down. also teaches you to really aim, but helps you take your time because you can shoot farther soo you dont have to rush on shots. i had a duck come in really close, lucky for me i got the head and not the meet lol i love this choke and would deff recommend it. and thanks for all the input on the choke Ray

 Re: pattern master
I have a long range on my Stoeger and liked it toll i put a kicks mod. in my SBE II. I love that combo might just be the gun because i have a Pattermaster Black cloud choke too and it shoots good too.

 Re: pattern master
do the black cloud PM chokes just not have studs on the inside of them? whats diff about them? and to any one buying a PM i would go with the extended, it shoots 2.75, 3 , 3.5 shells all the same, but if you go with the long range tube the 2.75 and 3in will pattern a full but the 3.5 will pattern a mod. i like full and that is the reason i picked the extended tube
