i have a drake green wing i killed and i want to get him mounted i already have 2 woodducks mounted and i am very happy with the work and the guy only charges me 125 a bird. but the problem is he mainly does deer and is backed up for almost a whole year plus he lives 2 1/2 hours away. so is the price worth the wait and making the drive or can i get it done for about the same price closer to home i have gotten a couple of prices from other people but i just dont know what to do |

That is cheap...the lowest they charge in our area is around $180-$200 that I can find and have even been told $250 by some. Wish I could find someone to do mine for that price. |

I had the biggest bull sprig I've ever seen mounted by some back woods F-stick out here and he charged me 100 bucks, but it looked like a turd when I picked it up. That'll be the last stuffed bird I ever cheap out on! The dude that is doing my hooded merganser charges 150 and does absolutely amazing work. but I know of a few places that charge 300+ for a good mount here but I cant afford that.. it might be worth it to drop it off to the guy you know and wait for it.. |

Cheap price for sure. I called around probably 5 different taxis and every last one of them was booked and gave me a timeline of 9 months to 1 year. And that was paying 2-300 for the work. I found a guy to do my redhead locally, and I think he charges $220 and the wait is at a minimum of 6 months. |

I shot a canvasback last Saturday. Took it to my taxidermist around lunch and he had it on the wall before three o'clock. It still has to dry but it looks darn good. He charges $250, but does a great job. |

I use a guy out of Marshall, that charges 185 a bird. He's been backed up about two years for the last 5-6 years. Does really good work. I took some to a more local guy for the same price but quicker turn around. The work was okay, but no where near the quality that I was used to. I don't mind waiting anymore... |
