Post subject:  Took My Boys On Their First Duck Hunt.
On December 31st I took my boys on their first duck hunt with me and felt like if I was under a lot of pressure to deliver at least one duck. Being that it was an afternoon hunt, I knew that I had to make every shot count and the last thing I wanted was for them to see me miss the first time out and not bring anything home. So normally I don't get too happy if I shoot a duck unless it's a rare one but with my kids on the boat, it was a different story. I got lucky and had these two ducks come in to check out my decoy spread so I stand up, take the shot, and drop both of them. Best of all, my wife filmed the whole thing so it's more than just a memory for me. If you guys look at the lower right hand corner when the video starts, you'll see them fall.

I know a double like that is no big deal but knowing that it was the first time I pull something like that off and if front of my kids on their first hunt, was just incredible. Please excuse the Spanish at the beginning of the video, all I said was that "I just shot two ducks with one shot". I couldn't have ended 2010 any better than with what I did with my family that afternoon.

Your kids will never forget the day you hook them hunting and shot two in one shot. You now have a tough image to live up to in their eyes. Their stories of that day will elevate you to superhuman status. Well done the good father you are.

Great shot. Good video and great memories.

I remember taking my son opening weekend coot hunting. 1st day I saw him drop 2 at once. I told him it'll never happen again. WRONG! The next day he did it again. It was funny the whole time.

Great stuff, keep them boys interested.

It's gonna be a dawg-gone shame ifin' I ever loose the enthuziazm you just displayed in that video .... I too git so dawg-gone exited ...... sometimes I even goes to the bathroom on mineself !!!! :lol:

Awesome video. That's great that you had the whole family there with you, and it's even better that you will have that memory on video forever. I don't have any kids, but when I do I hope they get as excited as yours did.

Thanks bull, J_Ho the camera I used is a Samsung camcorder that records on an SD card in 1080p but the video above is in 720p. If you check out a web site called http://www.techbargains.com you'll see that they post some good deals on there daily. I got a pretty good deal on it thanks to a coupon code they posted on there that gave me 70% off.
