Poule d'eau = coot
Gros-bec = heron (not the N$%#$ word for the shit you get high off of)
Summer mallard = black duck

Old people used to call dumb asses dos Gris when I was a kid.

Booby - Ruddy Duck

Scoggin - Blue Heron, White Heron, sometimes used to describe Egrets and Ibises. IE: "Those scoggins are shittin all over my blind."

Blue Peters - Coots

Summer Ducks - Wood Ducks

Honkers - Canada Geese

N*gger Geese - Cormorants
