 New Pistol just got my hands on the new firearm. Rock Island 1911 compact, with shorter grip and 3 1/2" barrel. Lots of power in a semi-small package. I like it! Did some research on the Rocks and found they were a pretty good buy without all the bells and whistles. wish I could have afforded a STI or Kimber, but I'm happy with this one...

i always did wonda why them gangsta types held their pistol sideways.
one day i was at the fry chicken place up the bayou an i figured it out.
a few gangstas walked in the place,kina' strollin' side ta side,one hand swingin' bak-n-fort,the other hand they needed to hold up their pants with.gold teeth,chains,rings,bracelets,earrings......you get the picture.
i'm talkin'real gangstas,the rims on the car they drove up in cost more
than the dam car.aaaannyyy way,they got them a bucket a chicken,and it all came to me clear as day,them gangstas love that chicken soo much,when they pull out their pistols,their hand automaticaly goes sideways like if they holdin' a drumstick.
