nope. Had my buddy step on a nine footer. Watched him walk on water. But it just rolled and took off. I've stepped on a few smaller ones. They will eat a dog though so just be careful during teal season. Once the weather gets below 72 degrees, gators brumate. Kinda like hibernation. But on the coast, its pretty common to see em almost year round. They aren't gonna bother you none unless you try and mess with em. Anyone still got the photos of Matt pissin off that 10 footer that bit his boat?

Had them eat a few of my ducks - during teal season....

The 3 to 4 footers are the most aggressive and ones to most
be concerned about --- IMO

Ive hit cypress trees before and snakes fall out of the limbs, not in the boat yet... but to damn close for comfort.

The only bad encounters Ive had with gators during duck hunting were during teal season. The sumbitches get to your teal before you can. Extremely aggravating.

One other time in the Delta during big duck season I came around a point and there was a solid 10 footer sitting on the bank and it was pretty chilly so I thought. I was like WTF, this aynt supposed to be here right now!

Had one down in Matagorda bay a couple years ago that was about 9-10 ft that got a little freindly not to mention when you troll in there at Mad Island they will bump the bottom of the boat.... I made a promise to myself after seening as many as we saw there I would never teal hunt with my dog there ever again.

Was hunting Venice 2 years ago and had a 4-fter head for a teal we shot as my dog was heading to pick the bird up too. She was outside the boat picking up another bird on other side of the boat and saw this bird fall and was going for it to bring in a 2n1. We had a 12 gauge conversation w/ the gator and talked him into letting us hunt in peace. ;) We did pick that bird up w/ the boat though. Good time for a whistle broke dog!!!
