 Fuel Line
Went fish a bass tournament this past weekend on Toledo Bend. After crossing the lake to Texas and back I went to load the boat for the night and as I tried to power onto the trailer the motor died. It started fine but if I romped on it it would die again. The next day as I ran it I found if I eased into it it would get on step fine and had lost no top end power. Well today I decided to drain the tank, change the primer bulb, water seperator, and inline filter. Evidently, the bulb had been changed before by te previous owner along with the line going to the motor. I pulled the line off the motor which was connected with a barb fitting at the cowling. As I began to pump the gas out with the bulb bits of plastic were coming out. After I pumped it all out I was amazed at the fact there were all these little pieces of plastic in the fuel. Well, the fuel line between the bulb and the motor was that chicken shit grey line that comes with the bulb. After dissecting it it appears the inside lining dried out and became brittle. I advise anyone with this type of line to change it out A.S.A.P. Here is a pic of what can be getting in your carb.

 Re: Fuel Line
This is just a WAG but that fuel line may not be good with alcohol.
I have been hearing a lot about people having trouble with tanks and lines because they are not OK to run Ethanol.
Just a heads up, the EPA is considering upping the Ethanol percentage to 15%.
