Bought a new Browning A5 in October. I removed all of the factory lube prior to shooting. Shot remaining 7 boxes of dove loads through it prior to hunting with it. Since then i have put two cases of shells through this gun. I have shot winchester xpert velocity, remington fast steel, spectra and blackcloud. ALL of them are 3" and ALL of them have been stove pipping on me. This is happening damn near every other time I shoot. My gun has become a single shot. I have shot this gun clean and dry, clean and wet, dirty and dry, dirty and wet.

I have been searching hi and low on various shotgun forums but the majority of A5 references are for the older models with recoil barrel.

Anyone here had any experience with this?

I would send it back to Browning--they have that 100,000 round guarantee on these new A5s. It sound like a lemon

I second going to Browning, I've shot one this whole season and never had any issue. So far it has been a great gun.

I still hunt with the old hump back but the new a5 getting great reviews and of course they can all have issues

I had a gun do that to
The barrel was undersized alittle bit where the shell goes
Gunsmith honed it out and put new ejector clip it was good as new
Then

Spoke to Browning rep and going to use the gun the remainder of season and then it is going back to be replaced.

He said I can send it back now, but I wont have a new one before season closes. So him telling me to finish the season with it if I wanted to then send it I thought was a good gesture.

You should have realized this problem during teal season! lol

Having a single shot auto loader will sure piss you off. I fell in this afternoon when it was 25 degrees, and my gun quickly became a single shot.

Do the shells look crimped near the brass section when it's jamming?

You should know I bought the gun between teal season and regular duck season. Anything else I need to correct you on Junior? LOL

My Gold did this same thing. I chucked up in a drill, a brass 12g brush with a patch around it on a section of cleaning rod. Then a little Hoppes and polished the shit out of the camber area. Cured it.
