 Eastern NC
Was drawn for a Tundra Swan permit earlier this year and this weekend was the fun part. Started off trying to get on a duck hunt so our group went to Lake Mattamuskeet NWR to hopefully get drawn for a blind. Well as luck would have it, we were drawn. Really cool because I know people that have put in for 10+ years and haven't been drawn. Wind was blowing 25+ and we had a open blind on one of the impoundments off the main lake.
The spoils of war. Redheads, widgeon, gadwalls and a nice black.
After we finished there and ate a quick lunch, we got in the bean field for swanswe wrapped it up pretty quick.

 Re: Eastern NC
What size shot did you use on the swans? I hear stories of guys using #7 and go for head shots so the taxidermists will have it easier.

Hevi-Shot 3" B in tungsten. Crushed it at 35 yards. Didn't move after it hit the ground.
