Have not been frogging in 30 years. Me and the old man would sneak into golf courses and spear them. Came out with burlap bags of them. Makes me want to try it again. What is your cleaning process? I remember struggling with pulling the skin off the legs with plyers. |

Post subject: | Re: Frogging |
What i do first is cut the head off, then i pull the skin back, then cut the legs from the rest of the frog(i only kee the legs some people keep the back) and cut the feet off and you get a good pair of frog legs |

Look like pheasant legs. How do you cook them? Batter and deep fry? |

Ive always hung them on a hook through the chin and made a circle cut around the mid section and peeled the skin off. Then either whack him in half on the back or cut the legs off at the joint. Eating them is almost as fun as catching them ![]() I wish it warmed up enough here to catch them in Feb-March. We don't get to do any till it kicks back off in June. |

Cut the skin across the back from side to side, pinch him around his backbone, pull half the skin off over his ass and legs, them pull the rest if the skin over his head. |

It wasn't 100 miles South. Call BS if you want...all you have to do is give it a try to see if I'm talking sh!t, or telling the truth. If you walk outside tonight, and the tree frogs are out make a quick run, and let me know how it works out. Granted, you have to go somewhere that has bull frogs to test this theory. Hard to find good banks. Sent from my beeper[/quote] I try to avoid banks...buddy of mine has a 3' scar on his arm from a snake bite. He reached out to grab a frog, and a cottonmouth had the same idea. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
