We been bowfishing since the late 90's. Prior to this trip, Id say the biggest one we shot was around 30" maybe a little more. Last night was one for the books. It measured 40" but we didn't have a scale. It had to weigh 40-50lbs. I don't know if it's a record but it's a rare occasion in S LA that you shoot something this big in 2' of water. It took the GT for a ride. String burner right there. |

Nice fish. That's a trophy with a bow no matter what he weighs. ![]() Agreed Old School. They always seem bigger but they are mostly head. Anytime we catch a big red folks automatically think they weigh 2 what they actually weigh. |

I never weighed one that big. It sure felt every bit of 40# or better. What is y'all's estimates? |

He didn't know how big he was until he grabbed the string. Irregardless, we still would have shot him. Again, this is a rare occasion and he will fry up just fine. |

Can't ever remember seeing worms n big redfish. They eat just as well as the small ones, if u know how to clean them. |
