Thanks Its a first for me to go 6 different species in a limit. Usually get 2 the same. The redhead was a nice treat! |

well shit. I dug up the bird out of my pile - initially I had said BB hen BUT......under closer investigation it's a Hybrid Redhead/Scaup hen or a redhead/ringer hen X. How do you say? The bird had yellow eyes! The speculum was an off color as well, not by much - the bill had a bit of a flare too - similair to a BB. Good catch Woodiebuster! made me second guess myself. Good on ya. |
