b4 my pawpaw died he gave me this shotgun. its made by daiwa...it only says daiwa auto 500 12ga. 2-3/4 chamber mod.i do know browning bought the patent and reproduced this model in browning. it automatically chambers the first round u put in it, has a gold trigger and is beautifully made. just want to know if any1 has any more info. thanks, shaun |

all i really know is that there made in japan, by a company called singer nikko...but i thought browning made the a5 before singer nikko. lol google it cause one of use is wrong |

i am 100% that bowning bought the patent from daiwa. also, browning repo'd it 100%...ill do some reserarch...but ur right, 1 of us is wrong |

The A500 and the A5 are two different firearms. The A5 dates back to the war period and I don't believe there would have been much patent buying going on with the Japs at that time. |

My buddy was handed one down from his grandpaw. Never jammed like the Brownings did & was impossible to find parts for when it broke -my2cents |
