That's an afternoon/evening video. Looks like a hole that's hunted hard. I've seen holes like that in Arkansas that you do not kill a duck, and then LST ends and they pour in like that. Them ducks are kind of smart. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

John Dobbs is the owner of that dark. He's a gazillionaire from here in Memphis. I've actually met and talked to him twice at Delta Waterfowl events. Rusty Creasey is the guy who manages the farm. I met him and several of the Echo boys a couple years ago in Michigan at waterfowl festival. Even went out to dinner with them and several guys, including my buddy, that blow for RNT. Everyone was there trying to qualify for the World's Championship. I got to talk to Rusty about the farm some. It's definitely one of the top places in the country to kill ducks. |

In my lifetime of hunting I've seen this many times in Henderson....usually when I was deer hunting. I was in a pirogue once and had wooducks land like that all around me and one hopped right up on it thinking it was a log. It was tempting to shoot but it was past shooting time, as I recall...or was it? |

I watched on a survival show where a guy made his own rice patty. Dammed up some water and made balls of mud, then rolled them around in rice seed and threw them out in the water. If thought about tryin this in some remote spots I know. Sent from my beeper |

In Louisiana you cannot hunt over unmanipulated rice. You must harvest the rice then hunt over second crop. Milo and millet are gray areas because they are grasses and not crops. |

In Louisiana you cannot hunt over manipulated rice. You can hunt first or second crop. You cannot intentionally manipulate the rice stand to hunt it. Meaning, you can't smash it down to make a hole to set dekes or knock the rice off of the stand. |
